- PIEP - the Berkeley Postdoc Industry Exploration Program
- PubChase career advice forum
- The Insight Data Science Fellows Program offers an intensive 6-week postdoc training fellowship to help you make the move into data science industry career positions.
- The Management of Technology Program is affiliated with the Haas School of Business and offers the chance to take courses focusing on innovation, management and technology. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, this program has been discontinued as of 2012, but you can still take classes for learning purposes.
- Networking Groups and Events in the Bay: East Bay Association for Women in Science, Women in Bio, San Francisco Association for Women in Science, BioScience Forum.
- Additionally, join alumni groups on LinkedIn and connect.
- The Berkeley Career Center - Graduate Student & Ph.D. page has a wealth of information including statistics about graduates, job opportunities, and internships.
- Biospace and BayBio are great resources to find out what jobs you can apply for right now.

- SCIMALS is a student-run non-profit investment advising group that hires grad student analysts to provide due diligence for life sciences and healthcare investors. This is a great way to gain some experience in business analysis and entrepreneurship while still a student.
- Ansley Scott, a summer intern turned Consultant at McKinsey, recommends taking a class like 290N, "Managing the New Product Development Process" at the Haas School of Business.
- The Haas Consulting Club is open to graduate students and provides resources, training, and networking events for students interested in consulting.
- The PhD Consulting Club (site1 site2) has recently been formed to provide resources to non-MBA students who are interested in a career in consulting.
