• The Management of Technology Program is affiliated with the Haas School of Business and offers the chance to take courses focusing on innovation, management and technology.
• The East Bay Association for Women in Science has frequent lectures and networking events.
• The Berkeley Career Center - Graduate Student & Ph.D. page has a wealth of information including statistics about graduates, job opportunities, and internships.
• Biospace and BayBio are great resources to find out what jobs you can apply for right now.

• The Science, Technology & Engineering Policy Group at Berkeley has many resources and hosts a number of events where you can learn about opportunities and network.

Science Outreach & Education 

• NorCal HERC - Higher Education Research Consortium
• National Higher Education Research Consortium is similar to NorCal HERC but discusses opportunities in a variety of regions within the US. 
• The Chronicle of Higher Education
• Higher Education Jobs allows you to search by location (state, region, international) or type of institution (community college, 4-year university). 
• Nemnet focuses on minority recruitment of K-12 and college level teachers, administrators, and coaches, but listings are open for anyone to apply. 
• Cal Academy of Sciences
• Bay Area Private Schools provides a list of schools, athough all the links may not be current.
• UCSF Teaching Post-doc Program
• This website provides information about 15 other universities around the country that have teaching post-doc programs similar to UCSF's.

Consulting

• Ansley Scott, a summer intern turned Consultant at McKinsey, recommends taking a class like 290N,  "Managing the New Product Development Process" at the Haas School of Business.
• The Haas Consulting Club is open to graduate students and provides resources, training, and networking events for students interested in consulting.
• The PhD Consulting Club (site1 site2) has recently been formed to provide resources to non-MBA students who are interested in a career in consulting. 

Academia

Entrepreneurship

• The Berkeley Postdoc Entrepreneurs Program has many resources and workshops.

Forensic Science  

• Criminalistics: An Introduction to Forensic Science (9th edition) by Richard Saferstein
• For more information, also see the California Association of Criminalists (CAC), the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS), and the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors (ASCLD).

Biotechnology and Drug Development 

• Former speaker Toby Beth Freedman is author of Career Opportunities in Biotechnology and Drug Development. You can read more about her book at her website careersbiotech.com.
• Toby is also president of Synapsis Search, a recruiting company, that places qualified candidates in a variety of positions in Biotech.
• Also check out The Billion Dollar Molecule by Barry Werth.  This book describes the process of Drug development start to finish.
